GetworkEU
GetworkEU is a trade development initiative devised by Handel Export in cooperation with the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce to encourage and assist Northern Ireland exporters to explore business opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe. This project is supported by Invest NI as part of their Passport to Export Programme.
The project has so far focused on business development in Estonia and Poland and has been running since 2005. Since then Handel Export has assisted some 120 companies to gain access to key contacts and potential business partners in both markets. This has enabled Northern Irish companies to set up permanent trading links with their Estonian and Polish counterparts and expand their export markets.
Through this project Handel Export provides the following services to companies:
- Market research on industry background and potential business partners
- Short listing of relevant contacts / business partners
- Setting up an individual tailored meeting itinerary with potential business partners in Poland / Estonia
- Translation of the company profile into Polish / Estonian
- Company profile posted on the project website www.getworkeu.com in Polish / Estonian and English so that potential business partners in the target market can find information on the company in their own language
- Training workshop on how to develop successful business in the target market
- In market PR and publicity
- Assistance with follow-up after the market visit
The next GetworkEU Trade Development Programme to Poland was launched in October 2008 and the market visit took place from the 18th – 22nd January 2009 to coincide with the BUDMA Construction Fair in Poznan.
